Claude Lewis Bowers, son of Lewis Irving Bowers and Hannah Elizabeth "Nettie" Saxton, was born Sept. 5, 1887 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Sept. 13, 1936 near Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Clara Charlotte Sherbeck Dec. 24, 1914 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Oct. 20, 1886 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of Sven Sherbeck and Tilda Mariah Johnson, and died Mar. 20, 1936 in Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri.
