Elijah Starkey, son of John Starkey and Lydia States, was born April 26, 1836 in Holmes Co., Ohio and died Sept. 25, 1921 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married 1) Martha Jane Reeder April 27, 1859 in Taylor Co., Iowa and 2) Mary Jane Cranston April 23, 1868 in Taylor Co., Iowa.
