Edward Jennings Shannon, son of Benjamin F. and Enola M. Shannon, was born June 9, 1900 in New Market, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Aug. 18, 1980 in Corning, Adams Co., Iowa. He married Wilma Josephine Flaherty July 1, 1928 at Aurora, Kane Co., Illinois.
