Opal Valetta Gross, daughter of Alva E. Gross and Cora May Graves, was born April 15, 1919 in Onawa, Monona Co., Iowa, and died Nov. 5, 2006 in Taylor Co., Iowa. She married James Leonard Scroggie April 15, 1939 at Corning, Adams Co., Iowa. He was born Dec. 4, 1912 in Wauneta, Chase Co., Nebraska, son of James Burl Scroggie and Bertha Anna Welton, and died Mar. 4, 2003 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
