Elizabeth Jane Chiles, daughter of George Henry Chiles and Dicey A. Kennedy, was born Nov. 3, 1846 in Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa and died Oct. 25, 1928 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Robert Massie Powell Feb. 20, 1873 in Mercer Co., Illinois.
