Nellie May Bates, daughter of Wallace A. Bates and Dora L. Watkins, was born May 14, 1891 at Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa and died July 5, 1967 in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska. She married Herbert Ariel Piper Mar. 29, 1911 at Clearfield, Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born Mar. 8, 1888 in Clarinda, Page Co., Iowa, son of Ezekiel Piper and Ida Jane Muckey, and died Oct. 22, 1963 in Clarinda, Page Co., Iowa.
