George Washington Young was born in June or July 1844 in Miami Co., Ohio and died July 30, 1914 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He enlisted Sept. 30, 1861 in Co.E, 48th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment and served until Nov. 1864.
