Andrew Jackson Sowers was born May 1, 1845 in Columbiana Co., Ohio and died Oct. 15, 1919 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He enlisted in Co. E, 136th Ohio Infantry Regiment May 13, 1864 and was mustered out Aug. 31, 1864 at Camp Chase, Ohio. Source: Official Roster of the Soldiers of the State of Ohio
