Earnest John Shehan, son of Charles McMillan Shehan and Nancy Jane Hooper, was born Nov. 12, 1876 in Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois and died July 1, 1940 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married 1) Martha Ellen Evans in 1898 and 2) Ethel Blanche Martin May 23, 1914 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
