William Grant Russell, son of James S. Russell and Mary Belle Carnahan, was born Mar. 23, 1865 near Aledo, Mercer Co., Illinois and died April 16, 1929 in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska. He married Florence May Bailey Sept. 22, 1891 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Jan. 21, 1868 in Springdale, Cedar Co., Iowa, daughter of David Bailey, Jr. and Mary L. Garrigues, and died April 15, 1947 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
