Reuben S. Palmer was born in July 1842 in Canada and died July 4, 1920 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He enlisted Dec. 26, 1863 at Waukegan, Illinois and was discharged Aug. 28, 1865 at St. Louis, Missouri.
