Jane Louisa Proudfoot, daughter of Richard J. Proudfoot and Rebecca Hoover, was born Jan. 8, 1830 in Cambria Co., Pennsylvania and died Jan. 17, 1925 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married John Osburn April 26,1849 in Pennsylvania.
