Absalom D. Ames, 16th Iowa Infantry Co. E, Age 22. Residence Muscatine, nativity Ohio. Enlisted Feb. 16, 1862. Mustered Feb. 25, 1862. Missing in action and taken prisoner July 22, 1864, Atlanta, Ga. Mustered out Aug. 10, 1865, Davenport, Iowa.
