John Clark was born May 7, 1824 in Pennsylvania and died Oct. 22, 1908 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He enlisted Aug. 9, 1862 as a 2nd Sergeant and in Co. F, 29th Iowa Infantry Regiment Nov. 12, 1862. He served until Jan. 1, 1864 when he was discharged due to disability.
