Cecil Claire Carlton, son of John McElroy Carlton and Sarah Beatty, was born Dec. 13, 1880 in Ringgold Co., Iowa and died Nov. 9, 1947 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Edith Buchanan Oct. 6, 1909 at Clearfield, Taylor Co., Iowa . She was born Oct. 3, 1889 in Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of Theodore Calhoun Buchanan and Eudora Darlington, and died Mar. 12, 1976 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico.
