Israel Boyd was born July 17, 1836 near Weston, Platte Co., Missouri and died Oct. 16, 1917 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. Death date on stone does not match death date given in his obituary. The first name on his headstone is also misspelled. He married 1) Lucy Chrisman and 2) Lou Johnson July 6, 1893 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa.
