James W. Owens, son of Silas Owens and Martha A. Leathers, was born Aug. 14, 1877 in Geneseo, Rice Co., Kansas and died Oct. 11, 1939 near Salem, Fulton Co., Arkansas. He married Elizabeth Blanche Loutzenhiser Nov. 27, 1907 at Blockton, Taylor Co., Iowa.
