George William Nixon, son of Austin Nixon and Adaline Auld, was born Dec. 2, 1841 in Perry Co., Ohio and died April 15, 1915 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Ruth Gertrude Hemmersbach Dec. 28, 1893 at Creston, Union Co., Iowa. She was born Jan. 21, 1874 in Henry Co., Illinois, daughter of Adam Hemmersbach and Elizabeth Zimmerman, and died Oct. 26, 1949 in Leon, Decatur Co., Iowa.
