John Thomas Lafayette Matheny, son of John Collins Matheny and Mary Jane Maddox, was born April 21, 1885 in Creston, Union Co., Iowa and died Nov. 18, 1908 in Loveland, Larimer Co., Colorado.He married Josie Ecklin White July 10, 1907 at Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa.
