Bessie LaMonte Kemery, daughter of William Kemery and Kate "Kittie" LaMonte Leighton, was born July 8, 1881 in Taylor Co., Iowa (her obituary gives the date as 1880) and died Oct. 23, 1946 southeast of Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Edwin Cummings McCormick Mar. 16, 1904 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born April 5, 1878 in Kirkwood, Warren Co., Illinois, son of Elisha McCormick and Susan Jane Cummings, and died Mar. 25, 1961 in Columbia, Boone Co., Missouri. He was a twin of Edgar Dean McCormick.
