Frank Charles Thummel, son of William Henry Thummel and Nancy J. Sloan, was born Oct. 2, 1873 in Fremont Co., Iowa (his obituary gives the date as 1871) and died May 8, 1957 near Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Alice Elma Butts Mar. 13, 1913 in Ross Twp., southwest of Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
