Thomas Noroway Smalley, son of George Washington Smalley and Sarah Sarafina Asher, was born Mar. 5, 1859 at Greenfield, Highland Co., Ohio and died Oct. 28, 1923 in Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri. He married Laura Belle Edwards April 19, 1885 in Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Mar. 7, 1867 in Wayne Co., Iowa, daughter of Thomas Edwards and Henrietta Hollingsworth, and died Feb. 10, 1924 in Bedford Taylor Co., Iowa.
