Henry Kemery Russell, son of William Henry Russell and Elizabeth Kemery, was born Jan. 20, 1878 in Jackson Twp., southeast of Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Bertha Margaretta Slagle Aug 19, 1915 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born June 13, 1893 at Ravenwood, Nodaway Co., Missouri, daughter of Rile Slagle and Louie Campbell, and died Dec. 9, 1975 in Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri.
