George Webster Purcell, son of Alfred Purcell and Mary Hill, was born Jan. 12, 1838 in Fort Defiance, Defiance Co., Ohio and died Jan. 12, 1919 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Mary Ann Eighme Dec. 13, 1868 in Marion Co., Indiana.
