Mary Gertrude was the daughter of Anton Reck and Catherine Kratz. She married Joseph Heider on 27 Apr 1871 in Fay Grove, Illinois. They were the parents of Mary, Emma, Julius, Lewis, Oscar, Joseph, Laura, and Edward.
