Floyd was the son of Jason Sylvester and Mary Theresa Brunko Winsor. He was born in Brandon, Buchanan Co., IA and passed away in Vinton, Benton Co., IA. He married Isabell Arnice Smith on the 5th day of March 1927 in Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA. One child was born to this union, viz: Richard "Dick" Floyd Winsor.
