Mary Short, daughter of William Short and Matilda Kearney, was born June 30, 1901 in Clearfield, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Feb. 23, 1979 in Corning, Adams Co., Iowa. She married George Wesley Briggs Sept. 25, 1951 at Clarinda, Page Co., Iowa.
