Harriet Belle McFarland, daughter of Robert McFarland, Jr. and Rebecca Redebaugh, was born Oct. 10, 1859 in Lewiston, Fulton Co., Illinois and died Nov. 6, 1916 in Ringgold Co., Iowa. She married William Austin Brand Jan. 26, 1881 in Hancock Co., Illinois. He was born Oct. 2, 1854 in McComb, McDonough Co., Illinois, son of Andrew Jackson Brand and Eveline Martha Russel, and died Aug. 15, 1928 at Kent, Union Co., Iowa.
