Caleb Gordon, son of William B. Gordon and Mary Wheeler, was born April 18, 1850 in Washington Co., Indiana and died Mar. 15, 1941 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. (The death date on the headstone seems to be an error as his obituary was printed in the Bedford Times-Press and Blockton News Mar. 20, 1941.) He married Mary Collins June 1, 1876 at Muscatine, Muscatine Co., Iowa. She was born Dec. 13, 1855 in Mercer Co., Illinois and died in Sept. 1928 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
