Samuel Fordyce Bowen, son of Thomas Bowen and Rachel Fordyce, was born July 21, 1837 near Waynesburg, Greene Co., Pennsylvania and died Mar. 29, 1904 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Virginia Janice "Jennie" Taylor Feb. 21,1861 in Knox Co., Illinois. See separate entry under his name for a photo of the family plot.
