CHRISTINA Y. BRACAMONTE

DYERSVILLE, Iowa -- Christina Y. Bracamonte, 67, of Dyersville, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Donald Hertges officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville.

She was born Feb. 19, 1941, in Yuma, Ariz., daughter of Jose Cruz and Maria Jesus (Gonzales) Hernandez. She married Gerardo Mendoza Bracamonte; he preceded her in death.

Christina moved to Dyersville in 2005 to live with her son.

Surviving are a son, Francisco (Donna) Bracamonte, of Dyersville; a daughter, Veronica Tornes, of Fresno, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Royce Lee, Francisco Jr., Fredderick, Falicia and Crestina Bracamonte, Alejandro and Carla Tornes; a brother, Tony Estrada, of Yuma, Calif.; four sisters, Rachel (Leo) Keller and Berna Varela, both of Yuma, Terry Kohl, of Sacramento, Calif., and Sandra Estrada, of Porterville, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by a son, Frederick, in infancy; a brother, Joe Hernandez; and three sisters, Guadelupe "Lupe" Lecero, Lola Gaton and Geneva Estrada.
