John was the son of Johann Bernard Siepker and Bridget Montergal. He married Minnie Reuter on Feb 16, 1879 in Grant county, Wisconsin. They were the parents of William, Joseph, Frank, John, Anna, Louis, Nathan, Bernard, and George. They raised their grand daughter Loretta Lamberty.
