Leo was the son of Frank Daeges and Catherine Casey. He married Blendena Bunting on November 23, 1936, at Fort Dodge, IA. They were the parents of Nancy and David. After her death he married Veda Parrott on September 2, 1973 at Waterloo, IA. He was a farmer and a dance orchestra director.
