William Elroy White, son of John White and Rachel Ann Payne, was born Dec. 6, 1844 in Solon, Johnson Co., Iowa and died Mar. 26, 1913 in Marshall Twp., Taylor Co., Iowa. He was buried Mar. 28, 1913, in Conway Cemetery, Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Margaret Hatfield Yarger Cox Mar. 23, 1890 in Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born in 1845 in Parke Co., Indiana, daughter of Abel Hatfield and Rebecca Somers, and died in Oct. 1917 in Taylor Co., Iowa. She married 1) David Yarger in 1867 in Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois; 2) Aaron Cox Oct. 1, 1882 in Taylor Co., Iowa and 3) William Elroy White.
