Benjamin Franklin Thompson, son of David Thompson and Mahala Laycock, was born Dec. 18, 1842 in Highland Co., Ohio and died July 28, 1901 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Clarissa A. Church May 21, 1868 in Van Buren Co., Iowa. Sons: Leander G. was born Oct. 18, 1882 in Taylor Co. and died April 7, 1883 in Taylor Co., Iowa of pneumonia, aged 5 months & 14 days. Clyde C. was born Aug. 16, 1884 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Sept. 25, 1899 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. Daughter: Irena Pearl was born Sept. 24, 1875 in Taylor Co., Iowa and died June 15, 1904 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa.
