Bertha Della Thomas, daughter of Sylvester S. Thomas and Elizabeth Jane Davis, was born May 21, 1881 near New Market, Taylor Co., Iowa and died May 4, 1924 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married John Shriver Stephens Feb. 1, 1900 at Clarinda, Page Co., Iowa. See separate entry under John Shriver Stephens for a photo of the family stone.
