Rachel Bowers, daughter of John Bowers and Elizabeth Cowell, was born June 19, 1846 in Greene Co., Pennsylvania and died July 19, 1928 near Platteville, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Arthur Bonar Fordyce June 14, 1866 in Greene Co., Pennsylvania.
