Born to Marie Jacobsen, in Denmark, were three sons, Carl Johannes Jacobsen, born in 1882, another son in 1886 and Frederik Christian Jacobsen. She came to America bringing one son, Frederik Christian Jacobsen.
She married Hans Madson July 27, 1892 in Kellogg, Iowa.
Born to them were four sons and one daughter, Sopha M., Max, Nels P., Harry L. and Herman.
Hans Madson was a resident of Kellogg for about 40 years. Some of the ways his name was been spelled: Madson, Madsen, Mattson and Marie's was Madison in her obit.
