James Austin Carr, son of William M. Carr and Martha Green, was born Oct. 27, 1835 near Indianapolis, Marion Co., Indiana and died Dec. 10, 1912 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Martha Ellen Rogers Silvers Feb. 4, 1864 at Leon, Decatur Co., Iowa. See separate entry under his name for a photo of the family plot.
