Charles W. Rood, Jr., son of Charles W. Rood, Sr. and Elizabeth Lyle, was born in 1849 in Stark Co., Illinois and died in 1890 in Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Rosa or Rosella F. Scott Dec. 28, 1876 in Bureau Co., Illinois. She was born in Jan. 1853 in Illinois, daughter of George Scott and Elizabeth Evans, and died Aug. 15, 1908 in Blockton, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married her 2nd husband, Lanson Crouch June 30, 1897 in Blockton, Taylor Co., Iowa.
