George Wallace Rood, son of Charles W. Rood and Rosa F. Scott, was born April 24, 1879 in Taylor Co., Iowa and died Dec. 2, 1913 near Clearfield, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Bessie Mae Cooper Feb. 22,1905 in Grant Twp., Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born June 3, 1883 near Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of Albert J. Cooper and Margaret Carnahan, and died Oct. 22, 1957 in Clearfield, Taylor Co., Iowa. After the death of her first husband she married Adam Keller Nov. 5, 1927.
