Nancy Almira Shepherd, daughter of Jesse Shepherd and Sarah Mariah Lathrop, was born Nov. 17, 1866 in Warren Co., Illinois and died Dec. 10, 1946 near Siam, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Emmer M. Phillips Feb. 17, 1887 in Taylor Co., Iowa.
