Dorothy Irene (Van Baren) Zickel was born: 11 Mar 1917 in Prairie City, Jasper, Iowa. She graduated from Newton High School in 1935, and was a Clerk and a Bookkeeper before she married. Dorothy and Merle Peter Zickel were Married on February 10, 1946 at Mt.Zion Church in Jasper County, Iowa. They had one daughter Kathryn (Zickel) Milburn of Newton. Dorothy died: 20 Nov 2005 age 88, at the Skiff Medical Center, Monarch Wing in Newton, Iowa.
