Wallace W. Messenger was born in Portage Co., Ohio, November 11, 1852. According to the 1856 Iowa census, he was living in Marion Twp., Marshall Co., Iowa with his parents Ebenezer N. and Marietta Holcomb. Wallace married Drusilla Brown in about 1874.
