Mary Elizabeth Gillespie, daughter of Robert B. Gillespie and Anne Trimble, was born Feb. 26, 1844 in Marshall Co., Illinois and died Oct. 23, 1893 near Clearfield, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Henry Kent Calkin Mar. 22, 1864 in Marshall Co., Illinois.
