Henry Kent Calkin, son of Lyman Leonard Calkin and Zilphia Maria White, was born Dec. 22, 1835 in Bradford Co., Pennsylvania and died Nov. 22, 1919 near Clearfield, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Mary Elizabeth Gillespie Mar. 22, 1864 in Marshall Co., Illinois.
