Fern Stanley Barker, son of Carl Leslie Barker and Effie Cavener, was born Feb. 13, 1920 in Lenox, Taylor Co., Iowa and died May 2, 2008 in Lubbock, Lubbock Co., Texas. He married 1) Florence Edna Smith Aug. 19,1937 in Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri and 2) Maxine Brown in 1991. Florence was born Dec. 22, 1919 at Diagonal, Ringgold Co., Iowa, daughter of Henry T. Smith and Edith Climer, and died Dec. 19, 1989 in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska.
