GRANVILLE LAYCOCK

Enoch Laycock, son of William Elihu Laycock and Susanna or Susan Parker, was born Mar. 20, 1845 near Bethel, Clermont Co., Ohio and died June 8, 1925 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married 1) Mary E. Burke June 19, 1865 in Clermont Co., Ohio and 2) Mary Elizabeth Leach Sept. 10, 1871 at Danville, Des Moines Co., Iowa. She was born Dec. 20, 1849 in Shelby Co., Illinois and died Oct. 23, 1936 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. L.. Homer, Granville and Gertrude are their children. Homer was born in 1872 in Iowa and died in 1893 in Taylor Co., Iowa. Granville was born May 27, 1874 in Shelby Co., Iowa and died Dec. 30, 1952 at Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa (his obituary, printed in the Bedford Times-Press Jan. 1, 1953 and Lenox Time Table, Jan. 8, 1953, gives the death date as 1952 so the date on the headstone may be an error). Gertrude was born Feb. 13, 1881 near Lineville, Wayne Co., Iowa and died Nov. 21, 1958 at Council Bluffs, Pottawattomie Co., Iowa. She married William Wilson Palmer May 29, 1904 at Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born April 26, 1864 near Grand River, Decatur Co., Iowa, son of Samuel Palmer and Emily Jane Norris, and died July 10, 1954 at Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. Their infant daughter, Emily, was born Sept. 12, 1906 at Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Sept. 18, 1906 at Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa.
