Thomas Williams, son of Charles Williams and Elizabeth Melick, was born Mar. 28, 1838 in Hamilton Co., Ohio and died Mar. 27, 1914 near Platteville, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Julia Ann House Jan. 2, 1862 in Tippecanoe Co., Indiana (his obituary gives the date as Dec. 31, 1860). She was born Jan. 27, 1833 in Ohio, daughter of Joel House and Guitee Slayback or Slaback, and died Jan. 7, 1903 near Platteville, Taylor Co., Iowa.
