Archibald Beryl "Arch" McCoun, son of James William McCoun and Melissa Alma Bates, was born Dec. 17, 1892 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Feb. 1981 at Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa. He married Ruth Ella Perdew or Perdue July 5, 1917, at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
